Notes

HALOT 702 derives JArm., Mnd. nwsḥʾ 'a copy' from Akk. nisḫu; Syr. nūsḥā 'copy, manuscript, codex' is from Arabic (Payne Smith 333). HALOT 702 refers to נסע: cf. 1003 *nVsaʕ- 'tear out'. LGz. 402 compares Geez nassəḥa 'repent' with Arb. nasaḫa ('perhaps'); Geez ḥ does not answer *ḫ, so S60 *nsḥ stays apart.
