Notes

HALOT 984 takes Arabic fatā (ftw/y) as denominative from fatan, which it sets beside petî. Tomback 272 reads Punic hptʾ 'the youth' (CIS I 357); Benz 177 and 396 list PTʾ (RES 1216.4) as a personal name, perhaps short for pth with a divine name. The verb pātâ 'to be simple, gullible; entice' (HALOT 984) is 1667.
