Notes

Akkadian from OAkk. (the name Šu-Ṣurarītim) and OB on (CAD Ṣ 256). Brock. 636 sets Syriac ṣrūrītā beside Akkadian ṣurārū, ṣurārittu (after Holma, ZA 28, 154) and files it under ṣrr 'to bind' (1484). Syriac ṣ points to *ṣ. Not 3607 *ṣrr 'bag, purse'.
