Commentary
*401 with the rider RU, which gives the ru- onset of its proposed value RUQQÛ: Akk. ruqqû ‘perfumed (oil)’ and ruqqû ‘to prepare perfume’ (CAD R 420). Six Khania documents, KH 12 twice, KH 63, KH 83, KH 84, KH 85 and KH 91, and KN Zg 57a, the ivory sceptre ring from Knossos. Counted in fractions (¹⁄₁₆ on KH 85 and KH 91), it stands with CYP, MI+JA+RU (myrrh), *308 (šamnu) and OLE+TA (fine oil): an aromatic. KH 91 writes *401+RU beside *401+RA, two compounds on one tablet. Cf. *401+*304 (RUQQÛ+PIDRU, ‘aromatic fat’). See *401.
