Commentary

PE 1 .1–2 U-KA-RE · A-SE-SI-NA, the divider after RE in the photograph and the facsimile; the heading over KU-PA-RI VIR 5̣0[ and E-KA[ VIR 72, each with grain at ½ unit a head (Younger, Linear A Texts). ḥa-šī-ši-n: A for ḥa, the ḥ unwritten, as A-NA-NE ḥanān; SI the genitive -i after the construct ʾugār; NA the nunation -n, its vowel dead. A hay meadow worked by the crews it feeds, as the men who worked the ugāru draw provisions (BE 14 56a:26; CAD U/W 30). SE writes šī, as A-SE beside A-SI. One attestation.
