Commentary

HT 25a .5, a personnel list: I-KI-RA 1, whole as written; the lower-left margin before it is lost (GORILA I 44–45). ikkara ‘farmer’: Akkadian ikkaru ‘plowman, farmer’ (CAD I/J 49), Hebrew ʾikkār (Isa 61:5; Jer 14:4; HALOT 47). I-KA ʾikkār (HT 91, HT 102) leaves the final r unwritten; here r is written with a following vowel. Rival: a personal name. One attestation. See A-KI-RO.
