Commentary

PK Za 11 closes with I-NA-JA-PA-QA, after I-PI-NA-MI-NA SI-RU-[?] ·, the last words of the damaged prayer; JA-PA-QA stands alone on PK Za 12. I-NA hinna ‘behold!’ and JA-PA-QA yapqaḥ, 3ms yaqtul of √p-q-ḥ ‘open (the eyes)’. Hebrew hinnēh/hēn and Ugaritic hn ‘behold!’ (DULAT 337) give the presentative, and Isa 42:7 lipqōaḥ ʿênayim ‘to open eyes’ the usage. One attestation. See JA-PA-QA, I-NA.
