Commentary

HT 115a .5 KA-PO-RU 1, whole and undotted, on its own line after A-SE-JA ⅔ ‘portion of the fire offering’ and before RI-SU-MA · SU, under GRA+BOSm (GORILA I 189). kapōru ‘bowl’: PO keeps the ō of the Canaanite shift, as Hebrew kəpôr ‘small metal bowl’ (Ezra 1:10; HALOT 492). Rival: kubburu ‘extra (payment), preferential (share)’, Emar ka₄-ku-bu-ru, Alalakh ku-ub-bu-rum (GlOS 1, 299), which needs PO for bu. One attestation.
