Commentary

ZA 11a and ZA 11b each have KU-PA · GRA+PA, with 1 and 3: a container named before measured grain; HT 110a has KU-PA 1 after CYP+E 20, and KH 29 KU-PA before 2. quppa ‘box, basket’: Akk. quppu A ‘(a wicker basket or wooden chest)’ (CAD Q 307), KU writing qu, since Linear A has no QU sign; the accusative *quppa(m) gives KU-PA. The small quantities (1–3) count single containers. See QE-PI-TA and KA-PA.
