Commentary

ZA 15a .3 ME VIN, two separate signs after I-TI-NI-SA 10, no numeral: it heads the second section of the wine list, as SA VIN heads the first (GORILA III 182–183). ME as the onset of Ugaritic msk ‘mixture, mixed wine’ (DULAT 575; KTU 1.19 IV 61, // yn), Hebrew mesek (HALOT 605; Ps 75:9). VIN takes single-sign qualifiers elsewhere (VIN+RA, VIN+KA, VIN+TE, VIN+WA). Rival: mrṯ ‘must’ (DULAT 571–572). One witness.
