Commentary

HT 41a, unquantified before PA-JA 2 on a tablet of *304 (fat) allocations: MI-DA-NI PA-JA 2, a weight. Heb. māṯnayim ‘loins’. Ebla writes matn ‘tendon’ SA.ŠU = ma-da-nu, with DA for t (GlOS 2, 59). MI writes the i of the plural, as in Arabic mitān (Lane 3017). Rival: a heading or title before PA-JA. One attestation.
