Commentary

KN Zc 6, an ink-inscribed clay cup from a sanctuary deposit above the Basement of the Monolithic Pillars, Knossos: .1 *34-TI-RI, .2 A-DI DA-KI-TI ‘until fine’ (Lev 16:12 qəṭōret … daqqâ). qiṭrī ‘my incense’, *34 read QI, TI for ṭi, with the 1cs possessive suffix -ī: Heb. qiṭṭēr ‘to burn incense’ (HALOT 1094), qəṭōret ‘incense’ (HALOT 1095). Rival: ʿiṭrī ‘my scent’, *34 for ʿi: Heb. ʿătar ‘smell (of incense)’ (Ezek 8:11), Arb. ʿiṭr ‘scent’ (HALOT 906). Weak point: *34 = qi is a proposed value. One attestation. See QA-*118-RA-RE.
