Commentary
PH 2 .1–2 RA-O-DI-KI 60, RA at the end of .1, under A-SE-TU-*21F (the female small-cattle sign) and beside PI-RU-E-JU 60 and SE-SA-PA₃ 60 (GORILA I 288–289). rāʿû diqqi: the contracted nominative rāʿû < *rāʿiyu ‘herdsman’, O writing ʿu, and the genitive diqqi of *diqq- ‘small (cattle)’, as in KA-NI-JA-MI qāniy-yammi. The same root as RO-E rōʿē (PH 24). Akkadian has the masculine noun diqqu ‘small one’ (CAD D 159), Ugaritic the masculine dq ‘tiny, fine’ (DULAT 275). Weak point: the spelling differs from RO-E. Rivals: a personal name; Hurrian -tiki (Papan-tiki, Monti 2017, 411), which leaves RA-O unread. One witness.
