Commentary

HT 96a .2 SI-MI-TA GRA 5, the first recipient under I-TI-TI-KU-NI · A-PA-RA-NE · A-*123-TE (GORILA I 156). śīmat, the women’s name of Amorite ŚIJM-AT-UM, ŠI-MA-TUM (Gelb no. 5893): SI writes ś, which merges into the S series, and MI for ma is a vowel mismatch only. Rival: Hebrew Šimʿat (2 Kgs 12:22), with the ʿ unwritten. One witness. See SA-JA-MA.
