Commentary
HT 25a .3, after A-RI-NI-TA 1, at the end of the line with no numeral; .4 ZU-JU-PU₂ 1 ṯulpu ‘flute-player’ gives his trade, the layout of .4–5 DU-RU-WI / I-KI-RA 1 (GORILA I 44–45). NU is complete at the preserved right edge, though GORILA I 45 brackets it. tu-qe-nu for tuqnu, √t-q-n ‘to be in good order’: the Ugarit PN tqn, táq-qa-na (DULAT 862); ta-qa-an at Alalakh and il-taq-nu at Ugarit (GlOS 2, 294); Akk. tuqnu ‘safety, security’, in the PN Tuqunu-ēreš (CAD T 480). QE writes qe for qu. Rival: Ugaritic tkn ‘inspector, measurer’ (GlOS 2, 294), which needs QE = ke. One witness.
