Commentary

HT 25a, a personnel roster: U-RE-WI 1, on the same roster as DU-RU-WI. ʾūr-lēwī ‘light of the Levite’: U writes ʾūr ‘light, flame’ (√ʾ-w-r) and RE-WI lēwī, the type of Hebrew ʾŪriyyāh (HALOT 25). DU-RU-WI ends in the same -WI on the same tablet, an ethnonymic element. Rival: lāwī, the Ebla name la-wi ‘one who encircles’ (Pagan 1998, row 3460). One attestation.
