Commentary
KH 6, a Khania cyperus distribution tablet: a personal name or epithet. √ʾ-w-r ‘to shine, be light’, Heb. ʾōr < *ʾawr ‘light’, with feminine -ēt. Rival: -t also forms abstracts and unit nouns (Fischer 2002, §64), so ʾawrēt is ‘light’ itself, and the feminine rests on the name slot alone. See U-RE-WI.
