Commentary
GORILA has U after a number on ARKH 4b (RE 10 U̥[, .2; GORILA III 15) and HT 56a (]11 ½ U[, .2; GORILA I 109), and U[ on HT 126a and U̥[ on HT 47a (GORILA I 91). u ‘and’, with the allomorph wa- in WA-DU-NI-MI ‘and (to) the lord(s)’ (HT 6b, HT 85b; see DU-NI-MI) and prefixed u- in U-DI-RI-KI. Gordon’s only citation, Brice I,14 (ya-ta-no-x u ya-[), is in GORILA the U inside the formula verb JA-TA-I-*301-U-JA (AP Za 1). Weak point: every standalone U breaks after the sign, so each can open a lost word, and Linear A accounts do not otherwise join entries with a conjunction. See WBQY.
