Commentary
HT Wc 3011 ZU-DI-RA and HT Wc 3012 ZU-DI-RA RE-RO, two roundels of the Haghia Triada series. ṯudira ‘waitress, girl’: Ugaritic ṯdr, a Hurro-Hittite loan from šiduri ‘young woman’ (Laroche 1980, 229; CAD Š/2 408), reaching Crete through Hurrian or Ugaritic. Rival: the Hurrian woman’s name Šituri ‘Girl’, ši-du-ri at Mari and ši-tu-ri at Ašnakkum (Monti 2017, 296, 373). Weak point: DULAT marks the gloss ‘(?)’, and Ugarit has two witnesses, one in a Hurrian text (DULAT 886–887). Two attestations.
