Commentary
Conditional sign identification on an amygdaloid seal whose classification as Linear A is disputed. RILA-S1 lists D 23 CR (?) Zg 3 as doubtful; Decorte (2018, 55) calls it possible but uncertain, and Civitillo (2024) includes it among the problematic Linear A seals and notes that no date has been proposed. If the signs are correctly identified, VIN and NI denote wine and figs. VIN+RA is independently attested as a distinct wine category, but raḥṣu ‘washed/filtered wine’ remains only an acrophonic candidate and is not translated here.
Epigraphic note
Amygdaloid stone seal of unknown findspot and date. Its classification as a Linear A inscription is possible but uncertain; RILA-S1 lists it among the doubtful documents.
