Commentary

Context: Casa Room 7 commodity allocation — LM IB. Scribe: HT Scribe 19.

MI-NU-TE heads a quantified allocation and is read against Akkadian minūtu ‘amount, number; reckoning’ (CAD M/2 98), rather than as the goddess Minut. The three SI entries (5½ + 1 + 3 = 9½) may be sub-distributions. The separator followed by DA-[·] 8 + SI 3 begins a second party or category. Compare MI-NU-TE in the Addu section of HT86a.

Epigraphic note

GORILA I 173: .1 CYP 6 J, the J dotted (its note: a trace after the six units, perhaps a seventh unit or a fraction); .4 DA-[·] 8[, the 8 dotted, a lost sign after DA, not a divider (its note: DA-MU difficult but not impossible); .5 ]SI 3[, both dotted.
