Commentary
Context: Fragmentary Palaikastro libation formula with DUBUR logogram and phonetic complement. Diplomatic sequence: ]NU · PA₃-E · JA-DI-KI-TE-TE-*307-PU₂-RE · TU-ME-I / JA-SA[ … ] U-NA-KA-NA-SI[ … ] / I-PI[ … ]. Valério 2007 restores JA-SA-[SA-RA-ME] | U-NA-KA-NA-SI, two groups, not one continuous word. JA-SA-[SA-RA-ME] and I-PI-[NA-MA] remain formulaic restorations, not preserved text. The translation leaves the opening and closing damage visible. TU-ME-I is rendered ‘my wholeness’ to distinguish √t-m-m completeness from √y-š-r righteousness while retaining their ritual pairing.
Epigraphic note
Fragmentary stone libation table from the Petsophas cave on the lower slope. GORILA IV 24–27; published diplomatic sequence: ]NU · PA₃-E · JA-DI-KI-TE-TE-*307-PU₂-RE · TU-ME-I / JA-SA[ … ] U-NA-KA-NA-SI[ … ] / I-PI[ … ]. Valério 2007 restores JA-SA-[SA-RA-ME] | U-NA-KA-NA-SI. The normalized readings of DI and TU-ME-I are epigraphically disputed; Younger regards only TU as secure in the latter group. On the GORILA drawing (IV 25) ME is partial and I survives as the tops of three prongs at the broken corner that ends face a, and no divider is preserved before JA-SA[ on face b.
