Attestations1 cited

  1. ZA 10aA-DU-KU-MI-NA 1PN 'Addu has sheltered': A-DU + √k-m-n 'hide, shelter' (HALOT 481; Amorite Ka-mi-nu-um, Gelb 1980, no. 3970), built like A-DU-NI-TA-NA 'Addu has given'; cf. Heb. Ṣəpanyāh 'Yahweh has hidden' (HALOT 1049)

Commentary

ZA 10a: a roster name counted 1, beside A-KU-MI-NA from the same verb. A-DU (Addu) + √k-m-n ‘hide, shelter’, built like A-DU-NI-TA-NA ‘Addu has given’. Amorite names have the root: ka-mi-nu-um, ia-ak-me-ni (GlOS 1, 309), Kaminum (Gelb AS 21 no. 3970). Rival: A-DU + KU-MI-NA ‘cumin’, a homograph; cumin is measured (MY Ge 605 ku-mi-no Z 2), and this entry is a roster count of 1.
