Commentary
HT 120: DA-U-*49 · A517 20 under the heading DA-QE-RA, between DA-ME (GRA+K+L 74, GRA+PA 62) and KI-RE-TA-NA (GRA+B 60, GRA+PA 48): a recipient. *49 is read mi, a proposed value: Dawmi ‘the enduring one’, √d-w-m ‘last, endure’ (Arb. dwm ‘to last’, HALOT 216), as in Hebrew Dūmah (HALOT 216) and Assyrian Adummatu. DA-U writes daw analytically, as KA-U-ZU-NI writes Kawṯuni. Weak point: *49 = mi is a proposed value. Rival: *49 as the logogram PALM/TREE after DA-U. One attestation. See DU-ME-DI.
