Commentary
Administrative grain account arranged under parallel entity or category headings. DA-ME is read damu ‘blood’, a ritual category heading grain allocations; its quantified use on HT95a/b and HT120 weighs against the later Aramaic dəmē ‘value of’, and dimtu ‘district’ is the other rival. DA-QE-RA has Akkadian and Ugaritic /dikāru/ ‘bowl’ as a Bronze Age comparison, although the written vowels differ. DA-U-*49 is read Dawmi, with *49=/mi/ here; possible logographic use of *49 elsewhere does not exclude that syllabic value. GORILA groups cross-line KI-RE-TA-NA, independently confirmed by three complete attestations. PA-I-TO securely names Phaistos. The tablet does not itself express direction, shipment or taxation.
Epigraphic note
Substantially preserved LM IB grain account. DA-QE-RA is a possible vessel or measure heading; DA-ME is an unresolved administrative entity/category. DA-U-*49 is read Dawmi, with *49=/mi/ in syllabic use; the sign may function logographically or abbreviate a commodity elsewhere. A517 is a single composite logogram. GORILA joins cross-line KI-RE-TA-NA, also fully attested on HT2, HT8a and HT108. PA-I-TO is Phaistos.
