Commentary
A commodity logogram, grain: 60 standalone and 52 in compounds, on 47 tablets at 5 sites; Linear B uses it too. dagān ‘grain’: Heb. דָּגָן, Ug. dgn, Ph. dgn. In GRA+DA (HT 133) DA is the phonetic complement for the da- of dagān, and DA-KA on five HT Wa nodules writes daga(n). Four times it stands with A-DU, the Storm God, an agricultural and cultic setting. See DA-KU-NA.
