Commentary

ZA 10b .3 MA-KI-DE-TE 5, intact, between MA-ZA 5 and SA-MA 5 in a name list (GORILA III 171). Safaitic MJDT beside MJD (Harding 1971, 528); Hebrew meged ‘excellence’ and Magdîʾēl (Gen 36:43). With ME-KI-DI (ZA 14) the feminine and masculine of one name at one site, as Harding’s MJDT and MJD. Rival: Arabian MQʿDT ‘posterior, seat’ (Harding 1971, 560), with ʿ unwritten. One document.
