Commentary

PE 6 .2 TA-NA-MA-JE, alone on the line below the ruling, under .1 I-NA-[?]-TE (Younger, Linear A Texts, Other Texts: Petras). ta-nʿam-ay: ta- the 3 f. sg. prefix of women’s names such as Amorite TAB-NI-EŠ₄-DAR (Gelb no. 6055), √n-ʿ-m with the ʿ unwritten, -ay the hypocoristic of Ugaritic nʿmy, nu-ú-ma-ya (DULAT 607). Rival: Ugaritic tnmy ‘overflow (?)’, an exact consonant match, once, in a broken line (KTU 1.1 IV 9; DULAT 860). One witness. See TA-NU-MU-TI.
