Commentary
HT 25a and ZA 8. ʾarīnīt ‘She-of-the-Lion’: feminine -īt on ari ‘lion’, as I-ZU-RI-NI-TA is ‘She-of-the-Bull’. A cult title rests on -īt alone, which also forms relational adjectives and abstracts. Rival: a Hurrian name in ari- ‘give’.
