Commentary

GRA with PA, the initial of parīsu, at four sites, often over large dry measures: Akkadian parīsu B ‘(a measure of capacity) one-half of a gur’ (CAD P 186), Ugaritic prś/prs, a dry measure of half a gur (DULAT 671–672), and Biblical Aramaic pĕrēs ‘half-portion’ (Dan 5:28); Ebla writes it ba-rí-zu, Mari and Alalakh VII pa-ri-si (GlOS 2, 135). HT 102 has PA₃-NI GRA+PA 33 and, after a lacuna, ]VIR GRA+PA 33, broken before VIR (GORILA I 169). HT 120 keeps GRA+PA apart from GRA+K+L and GRA+B. Fourteen documents.
