Commentary

HT 87: JA-RE-MI 1 in a roster of men under *21F-TU-NE · MA-KA-RI-TE. Yarīm, the yaqtul of √r-w-m, a hypocoristic of the Amorite Yarim-DN names (Gelb 1980, nos. 3432–3442: Yarim-Lim, Yarim-Addu); Ugarit has the bare name, yrm, ia-ri-mi (DULAT 965); cf. Heb. Yirmᵉyāhû. RE writes ri, as KI-RE-TA₂ beside KI-RI-TA₂. Rival: √y-r-ḫ ‘moon’, the god Yariḫ (Huehnergard 2012, 42, 87). One attestation. See RU-MA-TA.
