Every attestation carries a quantity: a recipient entry. rūmatā, √r-w-m ‘to be high’, *rūmat-, a feminine noun of place: Hebrew toponyms רוּמָה Rûmâ (2 Kgs 23:36, the u-vowel form), אֲרוּמָה ʾĂrûmâ (Judg 9:41), רָמַת Rāmat (Josh 13:26), הָרָמָתָה hā-Rāmātâ (1 Sam 1:19), רָאמֹת Rāʾmōt (Josh 20:8); Ug. rm ‘to go up’. Final -A is the written vowel. Rival: *rumanth-, the Aegean name of LB o-ru-ma-to *Orumanthos (PY Cn 3.6; ethnic o-ru-ma-si-ja-jo, PY An 519.12; DMic II 50–51), cf.
