Commentary

Context: Grain allocation—administrative tablet with GRA ideogram and commodity distributions. DA-ME is read damu ‘blood’, a recurring quantified ritual category; rivals dimtu ‘district’, Aramaic dmy ‘value’. KU-NI-SU is kunīšu ‘emmer’, an Akkadian loan (Nuzi ku-ni-šu, CAD K 537). With QE-RA₂-U /qelwu/ ‘parched grain’ it is one of two grain products in the set.
