Commentary
A wine-class logogram of the AB131 family, beside VIN ‘wine’ (wayn) and *131C ‘vinegar’: ARKH 2 KU-RA *131B 5 under the heading SI-DA-TE, ARKH 3a *131B 2 after OLIV 3⅕, ARKH 5 *131B 6 after A-DA-RO GRA 40, ZA 10b DU-RE-ZA-SE *131B 5. tirōšu ‘must, new wine’, Heb. tîrôš (HALOT 1727). The triad dāgān-tîrôš-yiṣhār (Deut 7:13) matches ARKH 3a’s GRA, OLIV and *131B. On ZA 10b DU-RE-ZA-SE turēṯa-se ‘for the must’ stands before its own logogram. Rival: SigLA codes the ARKH 3a, ARKH 5 and ZA 10b tokens VINb, a variant of VIN, and reads ARKH 2 KU-RA-*131B as one word. Four attestations, at Arkhanes and Zakros.
