Commentary

Context: Terebinth product accounting—commodity ledger with fractional quantities (⅜, ⅛, ½), tracking resin/mastic distributions to named recipients

Verso of HT8a. The recto records olive oil (OLE+KI) distributions; the verso records terebinth (*188) product distributions. QA-*310-I appears on both sides—the same recipient drawing from two commodity registers. Fractional quantities (⅜, ⅛, ½) suggest measurement of liquid or semi-liquid products (resin, oil). The phonetic complement PA₃-*188 confirms the /b/-onset reading of *188 as BUṬNU, paralleling the DUBUR pattern (*307-PU₂-RE). Five of six substantive words are in the lexicon (83%).
